“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” —Abraham Lincoln

WHAT WOULD I LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH?

1.) Interview County staff, private businesses, non-profit organizations, and community members to assess what changes are needed.

2.) Examine how the growth of Gallatin County has impacted our government’s ability to serve us well, and examine what changes are needed to accommodate the growth.

3.) Examine how local voices are heard at the County level — are rural and urban voices given the same weight?

Education and Experience

Montana State University Master’s in Applied Economics

This education provided me with a comprehensive understanding of economic systems and honed my skills in methodical problem-solving, in-depth analysis, and data-driven decision-making. My master’s thesis investigated equal pay laws and launched my passion for studying the Montana labor force.

Economic Development Director at HRDC

HRDC has a multitude of programs that serve our community. Here, I built a love for public service and learned the importance and impact of giving back. In this role, I ran multiple state and federal grant programs, developing an understanding of how the different levels of government work (or don’t) together.

Executive Director at Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District

In this role I worked across Park, Gallatin, and Madison Counties, building collaborations across many communities. It was here that I built a deep understanding of working with city and county government.

Director of Economic and Strategic Development at Big Sky Resort Area District

Now, working for a local government agency, I am developing a working knowledge about the tools that local governments have available to them to build infrastructure, make decisions, and contribute to our lives.
